Our Heritage
Our story started over 57 years ago when a small group of Collaroy residents banded together to provide support to their aged neighbours. Volunteering their services to assist with transport, shopping, getting to medical & other appointments, this small group of local volunteers founded what is now MWP Community Care Limited.
Their ingenuity and foresight formed the basis for what has evolved into the support services that MWP Community Care now provide to our local community on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, as well as the Northern Sydney Metropolitan Region.
Still to this day, MWP provides a similar range of support services to assist aged residents on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, who would like to remain in their own homes for as long as possible – safe and independently.
MWP Community Care is committed to ensuring older Australians living on the Northern Beaches stay socially connected, safe and independent in their own home.

Our Future
In the 2020 Aged Care Royal Commission, Roy Morgan conducted a survey (research paper 4) asking older Australians “where they want to live if they need support or care”.
87% of respondents requiring support and 71% requiring care responded with “in their current home”. In the same survey, 95% of older Australians agreed that making better lifestyle choices NOW will help keep them healthy and able to care for themselves longer.
Whether we are combatting social isolation or installing handrails in your bathroom to keep you independent at home, MWP Community Care has overwhelmingly received the same feedback from local Northern Beaches residents, and as such continue to evolve our current client offering by adding new initiatives and programs so that we continue to be the Aged Care Service Provider of choice on the Northern Beaches.
