Home modifications and home maintenance are crucial for older Australians to live safely and independently in their own homes.

These adaptations can help prevent accidents and injuries, which become more common as individuals age. Simple changes like installing handrails, non-slip flooring, and better lighting can significantly reduce the risk of falls and other mishaps.

Well-maintained homes ensure that essential systems like plumbing, heating, and electricity are functioning properly, preventing discomfort and potential health hazards. These adjustments enable seniors to age in place, preserving their sense of autonomy and familiarity, which can have a positive impact on their overall well-being and mental health.

Major Modifications

Major modifications aim to assist clients who require more complex bathroom, kitchen and access modifications including:

  • Supply and installation of stair lifts
  • Bathroom renovation e.g. replacing a bath with a hob-less shower
  • Widening of doorways
  • Door Automation System
  • Handrails
  • Level access ramps
  • Timber building work such as decks, pergolas etc
  • Concrete paths

Minor Modifications

Minor modifications aim to assist clients who require simple bathroom, kitchen and access modifications including:

  • Shower Grab rails
  • Toilet Assisted Rails
  • Handheld Shower Product Installation
  • Internal and external handrails
  • Building ramps to replace stairs for easier access to your home
  • Changing bathroom or kitchen accessories for easier & safer use
